I’ve been playing around with the new social network that Google launched on Tuesday since I got my invite. I’ve started liking Google+ from the very first day. I’m in love with the two most exciting features of Google+ : Circles and Hangouts and of course, the interface of Google+ is clean and smooth.

I’m too excited to have all my friends and family members on Google+. One of the amazing and unique features of this website is Circles. With Circles, you can post something for a selected group of friends. You can create multiple circles and adding people in circles is too easy (Just Drag and Drop).
Hide your Google+ Circles from your friends
Like Facebook, Google+ allows you to hide your Google+ Circles from your friends. If you don’t want anyone to see your Google+ network, just follow these steps:
1) Login to your Google+ account and go to your Google+ profile.
2) On the next page, Click on ‘Edit Profile’ (blue button) at the right side on the Google+ Profile page.
3) Now, Click on the Circle box and uncheck both options as you can see in the screenshot below.
4) Hit the ‘Save’ button and You’re done

Once done, no one will be able to see your Google+ Circles. You can easily hide your Google+ network by following above steps. In case, if you want to hide your circles from a particular group, you can check the ‘Show People in my circles’ box and under that, uncheck the box of that particular circle.
Moreover, Google+ allows you to view how your profile looks to a specific friend. To do that, go to ‘Google+ settings’ > ‘Profile and Privacy’ > Check for ‘See how your profile appears to other users’ > Enter the name of the user and click ‘Preview’. So what happens if you choose to hide it? Does it also hide the *number* of followers?
Yes, it will also hide the number of followers.
Is it possible to hide a person from your stream? I don’t have the person in my friends circle but all his/her posts are public so they keep showing up and I really don’t care to see it.
If you’re in someone’s circle but you haven’t added him/her to your circle, his/her content gets pushed to your stream if it’s public. But if you don’t want to see their content in your incoming stream, you can go to their profile and block them.

Is it possible to block a particular person so he/she can’t search you on Google+?
To block someone:
Go to their profile.
On the side of the profile click Block [person's name].
Confirm that you want to block that person.
