Yes I believe these tools can help at least a little by freeing up resources and I think Iobit’s tool is actually a free and premium version sometimes available for free too through various partner sites and it even does driver updates a two-fold boon for it I think in principle at least. And some other tools I would consider evaluating are the range of MZ utilities, would you do a write up on some of these and their effectiveness. I even test my machines capability by leaving some programs running and seeing results because it is not always going to have that much benefit as some play fine in this state and I don’t believe everyone can have a top notch computer whenever a new game is released with ever increasing requirements it seems like marketing for you to buy a new PC just because you like it. Has anyone considered the effects of trying to play online games considering how popular they are and what does it mean if you have say dial-up Internet? The thought of that makes me cringe at using any computer on that type of connection, cause it could cost more in dialing for the atrocious lack of usability in speed?
So who’s the Winner?
This article is good for knowing what’s out there but which one is The Best? Has anyone compared features and compared free vs paid versions and benchmark tested each app and determined which is the best for the paid and free versions?
There are also good apps for general PC speed ups like Smart 2.0 http://www.thewindowsclub.com/smart-a-utility-for-tweaking-windows-7-vista-xp-services I use this first to Really tweak all the services I want to stop before i use a game utility like these above. I feel it does a better job stopping unneeded resources than these gaming utilities alone. With this you can look through every service on the system and set it to Disabled. It helps you understand what each service does so you can determine if if’s something you want to disable or not.
There is also an app you missed called JetBoost. http://www.bluesprig.com/jetboost.html
