Gcache Plus Addon: View Google Cache Of Any Page Easily In Firefox

I think you all are already aware of Google Cache. But if you don’t know what is Google Cache? let me tell you that Google takes a snapshot of each page it examines and stores that version as a back-up and it is known as Cached Version of the page. When Google displays the cached page, a header at the top serves as a reminder that what you see isn’t necessarily the most recent version of the page.

When you search on Google, every search result shows a link of the result and beside the link there is a Cached link and when you click on that link, it takes you to the Google cached version of that web page, instead of the current version of the page. Look at the image below.

You must be thinking that ‘What we have to to with Cached Version of any web page?, We don’t need old content. We only want to read Updated Content’ , Actually this Google Cache version can help us in many ways. This is particularly useful if that page or link is temporary unavailable for some reason like downtime or in case author removes the post and you need access to the content of that page. You can view that page with Google Cache.

Gcache Plus is a Firefox extension that enables users to easily view a Google cached version of the page they are currently visiting. When installed in Firefox, it adds an extra option in Right Click menu. So if you want to see the cached version of any web page,  just right click and from the menu select Gcache+, it will take you to the Google cached version of the page you are currently visiting. Also, it is available when you right click on any web link.
