Google Images going Bing’s way

Google has just announced on its official blog that it is going to make some changes on Google Images page. Google has more than 10 billion images and gets 1 million page views per day on Google Images page.

Google is now copying bing’s way of displaying images search result. Yeah, Images search result will not show any text below the images and you can see up to 1000 of images search result on a single page. Take a look at the upcoming Google Images page:-

And here’s how bing shows the Images search result

New features will be added are

  • Dense tiled layout – Look lots of Images at once
  • Instant scrolling – Scroll down to look up to 1000 images
  • Adding hover effect – Show larger preview when you mouse at any image

I haven’t seen any changes yet on Google Images page but soon these all features will be there.

So what do you think about the copying from bing OR upcoming features of Google Images?
Enjoy your Day !!!
