Do you use contests to draw attention and traffic to your blog? No? You Should because running a contest in your blog create excitement and also people here love to win exciting prizes which you offer. Using contests also a great way to promoting your site in many social and microblogging websites.
I have seen many bloggers who are using contests to promote their blog and the prize they give to winner is "A Google Wave invitation" or "Invitation of New Orkut". Ofcourse This is good for both readers and blogger. But sometime bloggers have to choose a winner from many participants randomly then they use services which automatically pick a winner from large collection. One of the services I know is Random.org.
How to use Random.org
As its name suggests, which will pick a random name from the list which you specified. This is called List Randomizer.
- Go to List Randomizer.
- Fill the names of all participants separated by a line.(See the screenshot below)
- Just click on "Randomize" button to create a random list.(See the screen shot below)
This service is free and you don't even need to register. One important thing is you can even show results in your blog by posting the screen shot of randomizer in your blog so that other participants can see the results clearly.
